Public Service:  Member and vice-chairman of the New Milford Republican Town Committee, member New Milford Town Council 1995,1997,1999 also serving as the council’s vice-chairman, Vice-chairman of the Municipal Pool Committee, past member of the Farm Tax Exclusion Committee, alternate member to the Housatonic Resources Recovery Authority, member of the Long Range Capital Planning Committee for Unimproved Roads, Chairman of the New Milford Traffic Authority, member of the Water Pollution Control Authority, Coach and member of the New Milford Youth Baseball/Softball Board.

Representative Clark Chapin, was first elected on November 7, 2000 to serve the people of the 67th District. He was re-elected to his fourth term November 7, 2006. The 67th District encompasses the majority of New Milford. He serves as Ranking Member (House Republican Leader) of the General Assembly's Environment Committee and as a member of the Appropriations Committee and Human Services Committee...
