 State Representative John E. Piscopo, R-76th District, center, is joined by Earl Ehrhart, left, chairman of the American Legislative Exchange Council, and Kurt Malmgren, right, of Pharma, ALEC’s private sector chair, after receiving ALEC’s 2005 Legislator of the Year award at ALEC’s annual meeting in August in Grapevine, Texas. Representative Piscopo’s district includes Burlington, Harwinton, Litchfield and Thomaston. Representative Piscopo, who has been an ALEC member for many years, also heads the orgainization’s Natural Resources Task Force.
