Richard Ferrari (R-East Granby) presented the prestigious Amelia Earhart Award to two members of the Civil Air Patrol at the 103rd Composite Squadron’s meeting on Friday, Feb. 2 in East Granby. Here, Rep. Ferrari presents the award to Cadet Captain Matthew Brew. To earn the award, cadets had to complete a series of 11 achievements and pass an arduous 100- question examination.

“These young men provide for us a positive example of what discipline, dedication and hard work can help us achieve. Young people like these offer great encouragement to me about our future and the future of our country,” said Rep. Ferrari.
