Representative Greene, right, joins Governor M. Jodi Rell at the new Target store in Ansonia, where the Governor signed a bill creating new incentives for the redevelopment of old industrial sites, which often are contaminated with substances used in manufacturing processes. In July, Target opened a 127,000-square foot store on the 10-acre site where Latex Foam Products' mattress-manufacturing plant once stood. The factory was destroyed in 2001 by a massive fire that left the site highly polluted.
