On Wednesday, April 9, area state legislators participated in "Danbury Day" at the State Capitol. In honor of the "Hat City," many legislators wore hats during the day's legislative session. On Saturday, April 5, State Rep. David Scribner, R-Brookfield, Bethel, joined with local health officials and personnel in a Pandemic Flu Response Exercise at the Bethel Health Care Center. The exercise allowed personnel from area health districts, police and fire departments, and medical and non-medical community members and volunteers  to work together to test capabilities to respond to a large scale emergency.
