REP. CHAPIN APPOINTED TO LEGISLATIVE REVIEW COMMITTEE |

State Rep. Clark Chapin, R-New Milford, has been appointed to serve on the House Republican Bill Screening Committee. The appointment was made by House Minority Leader Robert M. Ward, R-North Branford.
The committee meets prior to each legislative session day to conduct a comprehensive review of legislation that will be brought before the full House of Representatives. Committee members review each bill and amendment for potential flaws, hidden clauses, unintended consequences and improvements that can be made either through revised language or the amendment process.
"This screening committee plays a key role in the legislative process," Rep. Ward. "It allows us to craft improvements for many bills. Clark has always been an astute legislator and his attention to detail will be a major asset on the committee."
I am honored to have received this appointment, said Rep. Chapin. It will allow me to provide additional input on legislation that can benefit both New Milford and the state as a whole. I look forward to the new responsibilities.
