AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION ORGANIZATION HONORS REP. CHAPIN

On Friday, June 2, The Connecticut FFA Association (formerly known as the Future Farmers of America) bestowed its Blue and Gold Award on State Rep. Clark Chapin, R-New Milford. The FFA is dedicated to making a positive difference in students’ lives by developing their potential for leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

In presenting the award, the FFA noted Rep. Chapin’s efforts in support of regional vocational agricultural programs. Rep. Chapin serves as Ranking Member (House Republican Leader) of the Legislature’s Environment Committee, which has cognizance over agricultural issues.

"I appreciate being recognized by the Connecticut FFA Association,” said Rep. Chapin.  “Agriculture is still a key part of Connecticut’s economy and I look forward to continuing to work on behalf of FFA’s endeavors."
