REPRESENTATIVE CHAPIN ACHIEVES 100 PERCENT VOTING RECORD IN STATE LEGISLATURE

Hartford—According to records released by the clerk of the House of Representatives, State Representative Clark Chapin, R-New Milford, achieved a 100 percent voting record in the General Assembly in 2008.  According to the House Clerks Office summary, Rep Chapin is one of only 18 House lawmakers to vote on all 300 bills before the House of Representatives during the 2008 legislative sessions. There are 151 members in the state House of Representatives.

"For eight years, it has been an honor and privilege to represent residents from the 67th District in Hartford," said Rep. Chapin.  "I still feel today, as I did on my first day in the General Assembly, that constituents expect and deserve representation each and every day the House is in session."

Representative Chapin serves as Ranking Member (House Republican Leader) of the Legislature’s Environment Committee, as a member of the Appropriations and Human Services Committees and in October 2007, was appointed Vice-Chairman of the House Republican Bill Screening Committee. He was elected to his fourth term in the House of Representatives in November 2006.
