REP. FREY RECOGNIZED FOR HIS COMMITMENT TO PARKS & RECREATION

 

RIDGEFIELD- State Representative John H. Frey (R-Ridgefield) has been awarded the 2008 Connecticut Recreation and Parks Association (CRPA) Legislator of the Year Award. 

 

Rep. John Frey was recognized for his long-standing support of Parks and Recreation within the community he serves as well as helping to achieve the goals of CRPA.  Frey was nominated by a parks and recreation professional within his district.

 

Paul Roche, Ridgefield Parks & Recreation Director, referenced the millions of dollars that Rep. Frey has been able to secure for development and maintenance of parks, recreational facilities, and historic structures in Ridgefield throughout his time in office.  Additionally, Roche said that Frey is “supportive of our efforts and continues to be willing to help [CRPA] to be heard at the Capital.”

 

Frey will receive his award in a ceremony at the CRPA Annual Conference, Tuesday, November 25 at the Mohegan Sun Conference Center. 

 

Connecticut Recreation and Parks Association (CRPA) is a non-profit 501 (C)(3) organization dedicated to the promotion, development, and improvement of all recreation and parks services within the State of Connecticut. CRPA has approximately 700 members, who represent almost all 169 towns in Connecticut.

 

John Frey serves the 111th Assembly District of Ridgefield in the state House of Representatives.
