Death Penalty Debated on Klarides Public Access Show

 

Leading Figures in State’s Capital Punishment Debate Are Guests

DERBY- State Representative Themis Klarides’s monthly cable access program this month focuses on the question of capital punishment in the state of Connecticut. With the state poised to execute its first Death Row inmate in forty-five years, the debate over the use of the death penalty has heated up in Hartford.

The guests for her show this month include John Connelly, Waterbury’s Chief States’ Attorney, who has put a number of convicted murderers on Death Row, and Gerry Smyth, the Chief Public Defender.

The show will air on Tele Media’s Channel 16 on Thursday, February 10th, at 7:30 p.m.
