Rep. John Piscopo applauds $350,000 for Harwinton emergency personnel facility |

State Rep. John Piscopo (R-Thomaston) today applauded the anticipated decision by the state Bond Commission to approve $350,000 for a new volunteer fire and ambulance facility in Harwinton.
“I’d like to thank the Governor for making this important project a priority, and putting this on the bond commission’s agenda,” said Rep. Piscopo. “It is critical that we give our brave first responders all of the tools and resources necessary to serve our communities. This project will go a long way toward assuring Harwinton’s emergency personnel will be able to continue their high level of service to the community.”
The grant is expected to be paid as part of a grant-in-aid to the Town of Harwinton, is likely to be officially approved by the Bond Commission at its Friday, Feb. 29 meeting.
Rep. John Piscopo represents Burlington, Harwinton, Litchfield, and Thomaston in the General Assembly.
