REP. RYAN ACHIEVES PERFECT VOTING, ATTENDANCE RECORD |

State Representative John J. Ryan, R-Darien, achieved a perfect voting and attendance record in the state House of Representatives for the 2006 Legislative Session, according to records compiled by the clerk of the House of Representatives.
According to a statistical summary released by the General Assembly’s House Clerks’ Office, Rep. Ryan voted on all 321 bills called for a vote in the House of Representatives during the 2006 legislative session. He is one of only 21 lawmakers to vote on every bill before the House this session. There are 151 members in the state House of Representatives.
Rep. Ryan has posted a 100 percent attendance and voting record nearly every session he has served in the General Assembly – despite the fact that he must travel some 75 miles to get to the Capitol from the 141st District (Darien and Rowayton).
“John Ryan has shown his dedication to the office of state representative through an outstanding voting record throughout his tenure,” said House Minority Leader Robert M. Ward (R-Northford). “He has proven himself to be a very important part of both his district and the House of Representatives.”
Rep. Ryan’s 100 percent attendance and voting record also parallels his commitment to his committee work. He maintains an excellent attendance record as a member of the Planning and Development Committee, Commerce Committee and Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee.
“Service in the General Assembly is a serious responsibility,” said Rep. Ryan. “I am pleased that I could, once again, have made the commitment not to miss a single House vote.”
